Arria Studio is a browser-based tool for building NLG applications in ATL (Articulate Text Language). The Studio UI hides much of the underlying detail but allows you to view ATL when it’s useful to do so. As you do more complex things with Studio, it becomes difficult to avoid working with ATL directly, and so it makes sense to understand what ATL is and how it works.

When you use Studio, you are working with a Studio project. A project consists of one or more scripts, a set of sample data, and a set of variables connecting the two. This section of the documentation describes the key components of a Studio project and the concepts that are central to understanding how Arria Studio works.
