Working in development teams

Most software is built and maintained by teams of several developers and testers. NLG Studio projects are no different and large projects may require multiple people working together on them. Small projects will probably not require much collaboration.

NLG Studio provides some in-built team working capabilities that allow users to share and collaborate over projects right from the Studio dashboard. It is recommended that you become familiar with the Studio documentation on team working before you start collaborating on projects.

You can use tools external to NLG Studio to share projects when working in teams. You may choose to use a simple tool like Microsoft SharePoint or a more sophisticated version control system such as Git. It is good to do a thorough analysis of the needs of the project, as well as the costs and benefits associated with different external tools before you invest in complex systems. If you wish to use a version control system for your development, see Appendix: Using version control systems.
